Hello dear one. I have started making podcasts. Podcasts with friends, loved ones. with passerby’s, and strangers, with anyone who has an inspiring story to tell. Heck anyone who wants to tell their story at all. It mustn’t be inspiring, it must be real. It must be the truth. The truth of the story of their life. And that Is what I long to share with myself and with you.
Why, I hear you asking?
Well, I have been catching myself judging people for not looking at life the way I look at life, for not walking the path that I am walking, for I think my path is the best. And that has been a wonderful realization. Realizing that my path is my path to walk, and that I wouldn’t want to walk any other path. But I often catch myself misunderstanding others and through wanting to understand; I’ve come to a simple yet important realization: Everyone walks a different path and there is beauty in everyone’s path.
In their paths, there is to be found: Inspiration, courage, hope, wisdom, gratitude and beauty. We all walk the hero’s journey home and that journey comes with challenges and difficulties. It comes with losses, pain and regret.
But most importantly, it comes with opportunities. And what I wish to share with you is the courage and inspiration from those stories to help guide you make the right choice for yourself when opportunity arises.
So do you wish to be inspired Captain? Sail north and hold tight my dear, for a storm is coming. And I don’t know how we’ll sail through it, but what I do know is that together our changes are stronger. And we can only come together by stepping into compassion. And I have learned, young pedowan, that it is easier to step into compassion when you understand someone, understand why they make a certain choice. But beware, since judgement holds us separate from understanding each other, and that is why I wish to let go of my judgement. For If I keep judging people their choices, the system will succeed in keeping us divided. Divided from ourselves, our connection to each other and our connection to the world around us. And as difficult as it might sometimes be to connect to each other and let go of judgement, hope is not lost. Hope is to be found in every corner. All you have to do is look close enough.
So that, my dear friend, is why I make my podcasts. To understand people, their paths and choices, so that I may live a live in compassion and kindness so that I may return to the tenderness that I am. So that I may live in rest and peace with myself. So that I may be inspired to face the difficulties of my path head-first and make the correct choice for me in the moment. The short answer, I fucking love it.
